PNP reports three new COVID-19 cases, raising tally to 25

The Philippine National Police Health Service (PNPHS) on Wednesday said 25 personnel are positive for the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Three new confirmed cases were males, aged 26, 28 and 39 from the Calabarzon (Cavite-Laguna-Batangas-Rizal) region.
The PNP Health Service said a total of 59 personnel are Probable Persons Under Investigation (Probable PUIs)broken down into eight Police Commissioned Officers (PCO) and 51 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO).
A total of 217 personnel were recommended as Suspected Persons Under Investigation (Suspected PUIs) broken down into 60 PCO, 145 PNCO, and 12 Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP).
Also, a total of 1,351 PNP personnel are listed as Possible Case of Persons Under Monitoring (PUM) composed of 334 PCO, 963 PNCO and 54 NUP.
The PNP General Hospital under its director, Brigadier General Herminio Tadeo Jr., received medical supplies and basic health commodities donated by the Department of Health last Tuesday for PNP health workers.
The medical supplies consist of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), N95 and protective masks, alcohols, surgical gloves and isolation gowns.
PNP chief Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa thanked DOH.
"We are very grateful to DOH and Secretary Francisco Duque for their support to our policemen and women especially for those who are assigned to battle the unseen enemy,” Gamboa said.
“These medical supplies are indeed a great help to our frontliners and other personnel to protect themselves and mitigate the virus" he added. Ella Dionisio/DMS
