June 7, 2018
Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Oscar Albayalde said there is no indication there will be a declaration of a national emergency to address crimes.

Albayalde said: " “We know he has his security advisers and we do not want to second guess that statement but as of this time, there is no indication whatsoever from the statement of the President we are headed in that way.”
If a national emergency or even martial law will be declared, Albayalde said the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) which will take charge. “The PNP is part of the security force,” he said. DMS
