After a month, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Project Tokhang operations remained bloodless as a number of surrenderers increased over the past four weeks.

As of March 1, 2018, the PNP, through the Directorate for Operations (DO), consolidated 5,543 Tokhang activities with 3,173 surrenderers nationwide.

PNP Regional Office 10 recorded the highest number of Tokhang activities with 1,426 and listed 405 drug surrenderers followed by National Capital Region Police Office with 463 Tokhang activities with 240 drug surrenderers.

From December 5, 2017 to March 1, 2018, police drug enforcement units arrested 10,088 drug personalities from 6,477 operations conducted while 102 died in police operations on PNP’s continuing intensified anti-illegal drug campaign.

The Directorate for Intelligence (DI) revealed 12,287 drug personalities have been included in their validated Drug Watchlist from December 5, 2017 to February 15, 2018.

DI said validation of the Drug Watchlist will continue with the support of Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council across the country.

PNP Director General Ronald Dela Rosa emphasized that police Tokhang teams must be in proper PNP uniform led by a police Commissioned Officer. Operations shall be done from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

Dela Rosa said Oplan Tokhang’s efforts will be more active in the coming days and months and he assured the public of less bloody anti-drug operations.

On December 4, 2018, the PNP reassumed the crucial role of the national government’s anti-drug campaign in support of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte. DMS
