October 6, 2020
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday said they temporarily suspended the issuance of travel authority for locally stranded individuals (LSI) and residents returning and travelling to Negros Occidental starting October 3 until October 9.
In a statement, PNP said the move is in compliance with the Joint Resolution No. 43 of the Western Visayas Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (RIATF) on COVID-19 that approved the suspension of the return of LSIs and resident to Negros Occidental.
“The Directorate for Operations has alerted all Police Regional Offices, Aviation Security Group and Maritime Group to implement the suspension of travel to the province,” the PNP said.
Travel authority is being issued for LSIs to allow them to return back to their hometowns. Ella Dionisio/DMS
