PNP welcomes Galvez as chief implementor of plan vs COVID-19

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Archie Gamboa expressed support on the designation of Presidential Peace Adviser Secretary Carlito Galvez as the chief implementor of the government' declared national policy against the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

"The Philippine National Police fully supports the President Rodrigo R Duterte’s designation of Secretary Carlito G Galvez Jr. as Chief Implementor of the Philippines’ declared national policy against COVID-19," Gamboa said.

"As a major component of the Joint Task Force CV Shield, the PNP has been at the frontline of government efforts to implement the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon," he said.

"The PNP looks ahead at implementing the tasks assigned to our agency thru the Inter Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases under the direction of the Secretary Galvez as Chief Implementor," he added. Robina Asido/DMS
