Police arrest 15 Africans for allegedly violating quarantine protocols, city ordinance

Authorities on Thursday arrested 15 Africans for violating city ordinance and quarantine protocols when they were caught inside a sports bar in Makati City.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said operatives from Makati City Police Station conducted an operation inside a sports bar at Barangay Poblacion around 5:30 pm after receiving complaints about alleged health protocol violations in the establishment.
During the operation, the suspects were caught allegedly drinking and using illegal drugs.
Of the 15 Africans arrested, ten will be charged for violating Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act, Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and resistance and disobedience to a person with authority while five others will be charged for violating the city ordinance.
Authorities confiscated eight bottles of beer and one gram of shabu amounting to P6,800.
