Police arrest 40 alleged MILF members in Bukidnon

Around 40 alleged members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) were arrested in Talakag, Bukidnon last Monday, police said.
Police Colonel Roel Lami-ing, Bukidnon provincial director, said Talakag police conducted simultaneous aggressive police operations around 3:11 pm at Tikalaan, Talakag which resulted to the arrest of 40 individuals believed to be members of MILF 118 Von Basher Unit.
Lami-ing said these persons were allegedly involved in a shooting incident in Talakag last February 21.
Suspects were onboard a truck when they were arrested.
Confiscated were rifle, grenade, magazine and ammunition, police said.Lami-ing commended the operating personnel for a job well done in implementing arresting wanted person and encouraged personnel to continue its efforts to eradicate all crimes within the province and keep on reinvigorating its anti-criminality campaign.
