Police arrest alleged gunman in killing of columnist in Masbate

Police arrested the alleged killer of a tabloid columnist in Masbate province in Quezon City Friday.
Police criminal investigators apprehended Antonio del Rosario who was inside a fastfood restaurant along Visayas Avenue.
Senior Superintendent Wilson Asueta, head of the Philippine National Police's Bicol region criminal investigation group, said Del Rosario was served with an arrest warrant for murder by Judge Arturo Clemente Revil of Regional Trial Court Branch 44 in Masbate City.
Del Rosario is the prime suspect in the killing of Joaquin Briones of the tabloid Remate.
Police records show del Rosario is allegedly a member of the Sako criminal gang involved in robbery and gun-for-hire activities.
Briones was killed on March 13, 2017 at Bombon Bridge in Barangay Bacolod, Masbate City. DMS
