Police looking at drug angle in blast at Cebu establishment
September 8, 2018
Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Oscar Albayalde said investigators are eyeing illegal drugs as the reason behind a blast at an establishment in Cebu City Saturday.
In an ambush interview, Albayalde said the drug angle surfaced in the explosion blast at Chuva Chava Massage and Spa in Barangay Mabolo after discovering the owner is suspected drug trafficker Peter Lim.
“Maybe there is a drug war. We know what his (Lim) alleged involvement (in illegal drugs) so we are looking into that,” said Albayalde.
Two unidentified men on board a motorcycle and wearing black clothes hurled an improvised explosive device (IED) at the massage parlor at 2;44 am Saturday. No casualties were reported. DMS
