Police, military arrest six drug personalities in Maguindanao

Police and military forces have arrested six drug personalities in a law enforcement operation in Maguindanao on Wednesday morning. Lt. Col. Harold Cabunoc, Army’s 33rd Infantry Battalion commander, said government forces captured the suspects at the vicinity of Sitio Mamalinta, Kayaga, Pandag, Maguindanao around 7am. “A certain Dante Dalaten,34, and five of his cohorts were caught unprepared when assaulters barged in , pointing their guns at them,” he said. “Police Chief Inspector Vernido Villamor of 43rd Special Action Company led the assault of the main drug den where 5 suspects were arrested,” Cabunoc said. Cabunoc said Dalaten was cornered by the government forces in an adjacent house, he also noted that the government troops also recovered war materials and illegal drugs during the operation. “The troops seized four low powered firearms, a hand grenade, 26 grams of shabu with a street value amounting to P130,000.00,” he said. Other suspects were identified as Roy Datukali, 27, Jomar Jainal, 20, Dante Karatuan, 34, Gale Mangandaong, 18, and Jerry Talib, 39,.
