Police officer, cohort nabbed in Palawan buy-bust operation

A police officer and his cohort were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Puerto Princesa, Palawan last Monday.
Police Master Sergeant Philip Pablico and Arnel Ramirez were arrested by operatives from Princesa City Police Office and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) around 12:10pm at C.M. Oceo Road, Barangay Bagong Sikat and Barangay San Manuel, Puerto Princesa City after a poseur buyer bought suspected shabu from them.
Pablico is assigned at the Palawan Provincial Police Office.
During the operation, Pablico managed to escape using his vehicle. He opened fire at pursuing cops, who fired back.
Suspect was wounded and was rushed to the hospital.
Meanwhile, two persons were also arrested for intervening in Pablico’s arrest.
Aside from the illegal drugs, recovered from Pablico were a rifle, and caliber .45 pistol.
Pablico and Ramirez are in police custody, with the Puerto Princesa City- Internal Affairs Service conducting a motu propio investigation against Pablico. Ella Dionisio/DMS
