Police officer dies in Imus ambush

A police officer assigned at the Southern Police District (SPD) died in an ambush in Imus, Cavite Monday morning.
An initial report said Police Captain Ariel Ilagan, 48, was onboard his vehicle when he was shot by unidentified assailants at the intersection of Lakersfield Subdivision and Alapan Road in Brgy. Alapan 1-B, Imus around 6am.
Ilagan was with his wife and daughter, who were on their way to work when the incident transpired.
Ilagan was shot several times while his wife and daughter sustained injuries in their right arm and left leg.
