Police officers infected with COVID-19 reached 6,000

Police officers infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have reached the 6,000 mark, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Thursday.
Deaths, however, remained at 17, the PNP said.
The PNP Health Service recorded 40 new cases bringing their total to 6,030 cases as of Thursday.
Of the new cases, the highest number of COVID-19 infections were recorded in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Police Regional Office- Cordillera. Both police offices recorded eight cases.
Six infections were recorded at the National Operational Support Unit and five at the National Administrative Support Unit.
