Police rescue Indian national in Laguna, kill three suspected kidnappers

A police anti-kidnapping unit rescued an Indian kidnap victim while ransom was going on in Laguna and three suspects were killed in the ensuing firefight, a police report said Wednesday.
As the initial ransom payment of P935,000 was about to be delivered in the vicinity of Southwoods Tollgate in Barangay San Francisco, Binan, Laguna, police spotted the suspect's vehicle, a blue Toyota Corolla, and a firefight took place.
Three persons were killed, anti-kidnapping police said.
The kidnap victim, Anial Sohal, was rescued. Police said he identified the three suspects as two Indians and a Filipino. The first Indian was Inderjit Singh or Manjit Singh alias Goldy but the second was unidentified. The Filipino was identified by Sohal as Wilbert Ong.
