Police say Abu Sayyaf member arrested in Zamboanga City

An Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) member was arrested in a police manhunt in Zamboanga City on Tuesday, a police spokesperson said Wednesday.
Chief Insp. Helen Galvez of the Police Region 9 said arrested was Rocco Haman 38, alias Ruco Haman Isdad of Barangay Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City.
Galvez said authorities arrested Haman at the vicinity of Mang Inasal restaurant along La Purisima St. in Zamboanga City around 4:20 pm.
“Rocco Haman was arrested by virtue of standing warrant of arrest for Kidnapping and serious Illegal detention issued by Hon. Judge Leo Jay Principe of RTC Branch 1, 9th Judicial Region, Isabela Basilan Province,” said Galvez.
Galvez said the warrant was against Haman was issued “in connection with the Golden Harvest Plantation kidnapping incident in Tairan, Lantawan, Basilan Province last June 11, 2001.”
She said Haman is detained at Zamboanga City Police Station 4 (Culianan) for proper disposition.
