Police find no explosives at UST campus

Manila police on Wednesday dismissed a bomb threat at the University of Santo Tomas which was reported to them by a first year medicine student. A report by the Manila Police District's Explosives and Ordnance Division said there no such threat after panelling was done at 11:20 am. Police said even as the bomb threat was reported on 9:26 am, classes were not suspended. This was second bomb threat reported in Manila. On Tuesday, a security guard at Mapua Institute of Technology in Intramuros that a construction engineer received a bomb threat by text message at 4:21 pm. Police bomb experts found no hazardous materials after conducting panelling at the campus on Tuesday evening. DMS
