Police say no crimes committed in Cavite for first time

No crimes were recorded in Cavite province for the first time, the provincial police office said Friday.
Colonel Marlon Santos, Cavite provincial director, said the no incidents were recorded during their one-day police operations Thursday but 20 suspects were arrested and 791 violators were reported.
Among the total enhanced community quarantine violators, 190 were arrested for violating the curfew while six violated the liquor ban and 21 for being uncooperative.
Santos added 574 were held for not having their barangay quarantine pass during checkpoint.
In buy-bust operations, fifteen drug suspects were arrested and a total of 5.64 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P 38, 352 were confiscated. They also arrested eight wanted suspects.
Santos said arrested suspects were brought to the police station to prepare for inquest proceedings to be filed before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor.
Pieces of evidence were brought to the Cavite Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
