PSE index, peso end lower

The main Philippine stock index and the peso ended lower on Tuesday.
The peso finished at P52.31 against the US dollar from Monday's P52,105. Volume at the foreign exchange portal at the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.336 billion from $1.234 billion.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index ended 113.82 points to 7,804.71. In the broader market, there were 115 losers, 67 gainers and 56 shares unchanged.
Most active shares were led by Nickel Asia,m up 39 centavos to P4.50; SM Prime, down 90 centavos to P34.10 and Ayala Land, down 10 centavos to P47.30. DMS
