PSE index snaps two-day losing streak

The Philippines’ main stock index snapped a two-day losing streak on Tuesday.
The peso gained to P50.68 against the US dollar from P50.96 on Monday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines rose to $363.1 million from $315.35 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index finished at 5,321.23 points, up 100.07 points. In the broader market, there were 132 gainers, 53 losers and 41 unchanged.
But among most active shares, the top two shares, Ayala Corp. and Ayala Land declined.Ayala Corp., was down P1.60 to P467.40 while Ayala Land lost 60 centavos to P30.20.
SM Prime was down P1.05 to P28. while SM Investment Corp. rose P48 to P818. DMS
