The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Wednesday said they have activated two new police stations to serve the public.
Brig. General Ronnie Montejo, Quezon City police director, said the two new stations were Bagong Silangan Police Station or PS 13 and Holy Spirit Police Station or PS 14.
Montejo said Police Station 13, led by Major Roldante Sarmiento, will temporarily hold office at its Police Community Precinct 1 (PCP 1) which was formerly PCP 5 of Batasan Police Station at Narra St. corner Payatas Road while waiting for the completion of its new and permanent station headquarters at Florendo Compound in Brgy. Bagong Silangan.
Brgy.Bagong Silangan and Brgy. Payatas will be under the area of responsibility of PS 13.
On the other hand, Police Station 14, headed byMajor Eduardo Bea, is located at Corregidor St. Brgy. Holy Spirit. It will have four barangays under its jurisdiction identified as Brgy. Holy Spirit, New Era, Pasong Tamo and Culiat.
"Our policemen from the existing Police Community Precincts (PCP) under these two new police stations will be complemented by 258 newly downloaded uniformed personnel from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) of NCRPO National Capital Region Police Office and District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB)," Montejo said.
Montejo said the creation and activation of the new police stations will help improve peace and order as the area of jurisdiction of each police station would be smaller and easier to manage. Ella Dionisio/DMS
