The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Wednesday said an administrative case will be filed against a police staff sergeant who tested positive during a random drug testing.
Police Major General Debold Sinas, NCRPO chief, said Police Staff Sergeant Arthur Santos II tested positive among the 70 personnel from Quezon City Police District who underwent random drug testing last May 28.
Sinas said Santos also tested positive for methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) on the confirmatory test.
“(I) immediately directed the District Director of Quezon City Police District and the Station Commander to disarm the police officer of his issued firearms while appropriate administrative case will be filed against subject personnel,” he said.
Sinas assured that continuous random drug testing will be done to identify unscrupulous personnel engaged in illegal drugs. Ella Dionisio/DMS
