The chief of Dolores Municipal Police Station in Quezon Province relieved for allegedly violating the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) protocols, the head of the Quezon Provincial Police Office said.
Col. Audie Madrideo said Capt. Joseph Ian Java was administratively relieved from his post last Tuesday while pending investigation for not following Philippine National Police (PNP) directive prohibiting social gatherings, parties and similar activities during the Yuletide season and IATF COVID-19 safety protocols.
Madrideo said the decision was made during his meeting with Dolores Municipal Mayor Orlan Calayag.
The new officer-in-charge of Dolores municipal police will be Lt. Almario Dela Rosa.
Madrideo reminded his personnel to show to the public that the police follow the policies they are implementing, including health protocols by the national government. Ella Dionisio/DMS
