The Department of Health ( DOH) reported a record number of patients recovering from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Friday.
The 120 recoveries surpassed the 112 registered on Thursday, bringing the total to 1,734.
However, the DOH reported 120 new cases, raising the tally to 10,463. Eleven died from COVID-19, pushing the aggregate to 696.
"We can see that slowly, the curve is flattening," said Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said in a virtual press conference.
"Until there is no vaccine found, the danger of a second wave remains," she said. "People must follow the DOH guidelines." DMS
