Responding nurse killed, 3 others wounded in Palawan ambush

A nurse died while three others were injured after unidentified suspects attacked the ambulance where they were onboard in Palawan last Saturday.
According to Mimaropa police, the incident transpired around 3pm along National Highway of Sitio Stockpile in Barangay Dumarao, Roxas, Palawan
The victims were identified as Armando Quejano Carbajosa, 49; Aljerome Bernardo, 51, nurse; Alex dela Pena, 51, driver and Christopher Juanites Tamolin, 39.
Authorities said they were all responders of Rescue 165 assigned at the Municipality of Dumaran, Palawan.
Initial investigation said the responders were heading towards Puerto Princesa City when armed men fired upon them which resulted to the instantaneous death of Bernardo after sustaining gunshot wounds on his chest.
The other victims were immediately brought to the hospital and now recuperating.
Police are now investigating the incident for the possible motive and arrest of the suspects. Ella Dionisio/DMS
