“Rolly” makes 2nd landfall in Albay; Metro Manila, other areas under Signal No. 4

Super Typhoon "Rolly" made a second landfall over Tiwi, Albay as Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5 has been hoisted in Albay and Camarines Sur, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
Metro Manila, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, the northern portion of Sorsogon, Burias Island, the central and southern portions of Quezon, the central and southern portions of Rizal, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Marinduque, the northern portion of Romblon, and the northern portion of Oriental Mindoro are under Signal No. 4.
"The situation is potentially very destructive to the community," Pagasa said.
National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Executive Director Ricardo Jalad said 96,543 families or 346,993 individuals are affected and preemptively evacuated from 12 regions in the country.
Rolly has maximum sustained winds of 225 km/h near the center and gusts of up to 310 km/h. DMS
