San Juan police forms task group on killing of finance dept. consultant, brother

San Juan police formed a special investigation task group to investigate the killing of finance department consultant Michael Marasigan and his brother.
Senior Superintendent Lawrence Coop, officer-in-charge of San Juan City police, said in a phone interview with the Daily Manila Shimbun, this consists of around 15 officers including Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, San Juan City police and Eastern Police District.
Michael Marasigan, a former editor of BusinessWorld, and his younger brother Christopher were shot dead by a gunman riding a black unplated motorcycle at 6:10 pm. last Thursday in San Juan, Coop said.
He said they are looking for CCTV footage and are interviewing possible witnesses.
The elder Marasigan was shot eight times while his brother took 12 shots, Coop said.
The police recovered 30 cartridges from a 9mm caliber pistol and four cartridges of a caliber .45 gun.
He said there are no lead about suspects and the motive of the crime.
Coop said the victims are traveling along V. Cruz street in a Mazda CX5 van after they went to the house of Michael when the suspects fired multiple shots at the victims.
