A gunshot was heard coming from the house opposite Barbosa's.
Barbosa, shot below his left ear from a caliber 5.56 automatic rifle, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Abra Provincial Hospital, Abra police said.
Abra Governor Ma. Jocelyn Bernos condemned the killing.
