Seven die from COVID-19, lowest since August

Seven people died from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) even as new cases went below 2,000 on Monday, the Department of Health (DOH) said Monday.
The DOH said total deaths reached 7,839. The low daily death rate is the lowest in three months.
New cases were 1,738, bringing the total to 409, 574. Out of this, active cases reached 27, 369.
Among provinces and cities which led in new cases, Davao City topped this with 140 followed by Cavite with 117. Rizal had 89, Laguna 87 and Batangas 79.
There were 45 persons who recovered from COVID-19, raising total recoveries to 374, 366. DMS
