Signal number 3 in Isabela, Quirino and northern Isabela as typhoon “Rosita” nears

Typhoon "Rosita" was located at 355 kilometers east-northwest of Casiguran, Aurora, leading the state weather bureau to raise signal number three in Isabela, Quirino and northern Aurora.
As of 1 pm Monday, the typhoon weakened to 150 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 185 kilometers per hour. It is moving west-northwest at 15 kilometers per hour.
The typhoon is expected to make landfall over southern Isabela- northern Aurora area by October 30 and traverse Aurora, Isabela, Quirino, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet and La Union, the weather bureau.
Moderate to heavy rains are expected in northern and central Luzon starting Monday night, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Residents in these areas, especially those living in near river channels, in low-lying and mountainous areas, are advised to take appropriate action against floods and landslides, Pagasa said. DMS
