Sinas says no major reshuffle in PNP

The new chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said there will be no major reshuffle and vacant positions in the organization will be filled up.
In an interview with reporters, Police General Debold Sinas said there is a need to fill up some positions in the PNP due to retirement and movement in the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
“I don't think it's a major reshuffle. We will just fill up the vacant positions since a lot (of officers) will also retire. If someone was promoted, a lot will be affected. I don't think I will effect change just because I don’t like (the one in position),” Sinas said.
“I am not just the chief PNP of NCRPO or of PRO7 (Police Regional Office 7) or any region… I will see to it that there is equality,” he added.
Sinas was NCRPO chief before he was appointed as the chief PNP last Monday. He was replaced by Brig. Gen Vicente Danao Jr, the previous Calabarzon regional director.
Sinas said Danao will be replaced by Brig. Gen Felipe Natividad as Calabarzon regional director.
Natividad was the chief of the Bohol Provincial Police Office in 2016 before he was transferred to the national headquarters in Camp Crame in 2018 where he served as Special Police Assistant to Interior Secretary Eduardo Ano. Ella Dionisio/DMS
