Six, including siblings of barangay official, arrested in Tondo

Six drug suspects, including two siblings of a Tondo District 1 barangay chairman, were apprehended in a buy-bust operation in Manila on Thursday night.
In a report, Manila Police District (MPD) investigator-on-case Patrolman John Paul Peralta identified the apprehended suspects as Janeth Fajardo, 27, Jonathan Fajardo, 33, Michael Cuarisma, 37, Rowena Canlas, 46, Jayson Ramos, 24, and Jay Ramos, 33, all residents of House No. 268 Santa Barbara Street, Brgy. 19, Tondo.
He said the suspects were apprehended during the conduct of buy-bust operation inside the house at around 8:30 pm.
Peralta said authorities recovered pieces small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu , with weight estimate of 20 grams worth around P136,000.
"Prior to their arrest, this station received information that the suspects were responsible in the drug trade in Barangay 19 and neighboring barangay in Tondo, Manila. Wasting no time, a series of validation and test buy were conducted that yeilded positive result," he said.
Peralta said Janeth and Jonathan were siblings of Josephine Fajardo, the chairman of Brgy. 19 in Tondo, Manila.
He noted they were children of Tondo District 1 councilor Jesus " Fajardo.
Cases for violating of Section 5, 11, 12, 13 and 26 of Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act are being prepared against the suspects for inquest before the Manila Prosecutors Office. Robina Asido/DMS
