Stocks up ahead of June inflation report

Stocks rose on Wednesday ahead of the June inflation report.
The peso closed at P53.36 against the US dollar from Tiesday's P53.375. Volume reached $587.1 million from $511.50 million on the previous day.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index finished 81.08 points higher to 7348.42. In the broader market, there were 100 gainers and 100 decliners while 56 were unchanged.
Volume reached 590.9 million shares worth P4.9 billion from Tuesday's 539.76 million valued at P4.78 billion.
Most active shares were led by SM Prime, up 2.78 percent to P37; BDO, up 2.06 percent to P128.60 and Ayala Corp., up 1.42 percent to P928. DMS
