September 6, 2018
Anti-drug policemen arrested a suspected drug leader and seized P20.4 million worth of alleged shabu in Malate on Thursday.
Chief Superintendent Albert Ignatius Ferro, director of the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group ( PNP-DEG), said around three kilos of shabu were seized from Ryan Tomawis, 25.
Tomawis, a resident of Makati, was caught during a sting operation inside a room at Sogo Hotel in Mabini corner Quirino Avenue around 3:20 p.m.
Ferro said Tomawis sold the drugs to a police undercover operative.
Tomawis was brought to Camp Crame. Cases for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being readied against Tomawis, said to be part of a drug syndicate in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. DMS
