Suspected remnant of drug syndicate arrested in Pasig

Over P1.2 million worth of suspected shabu were confiscated from a construction worker who is said to be a remnant of a syndicate which ran a retail market for the illegal drug in Pasig City on Tuesday, the National Capitol Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Wednesday.
According to the report of Senior Superintendent Bernabe Balba, acting director of the Eastern Police District to Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, NCRPO chief, Antonio Intalan, 49, was arrested by the chief of the District Drug Enforcement Unit led by Chief Inspector Allan Miparanum with the District Intelligence Unit led by Superintendent Hendrix Mangaldan after selling P 1,000 worth of shabu to a police poseur buyer.
Confiscated were six small heat sealed plastic sachet placed in a wallet and another 27 medium sized heat sealed sachets inside a sunglass pouch with a total estimated weight of 190 grams of shabu with an approximate street value of P1.25 million.
Intalan is the top 10 high value target category of the Eastern Police District and an active member of Amin Buratong drug syndicate, responsible for operating the busted Pasig shabu “tiangge” in 2006.
Intalan was arrested three times. Two cases of illegal drug possession were dismissed but he was arrested last year but released after posting bail.
Intalan was brought to Pasig City Police Station for documentation and inquest proceedings before Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office for illegal drug possession charges. DMS
