Teenager jumps to death from 5th floor of Quezon City mall

A Grade 12 student died after he jumped on the fifth floor of a shopping mall in Quezon City on Saturday.

Quezon City Police District said the 17-year old victim landed on the escalator at the ground floor after jumping from the 5th level of SM North EDSA around 5:35 in the afternoon.

Rescue personnel from the establishment immediately responded and brought him to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Authorities are still clueless on why the student jumped.
