Teresa, Rizal mayor survives ambush

The mayor of Teresa town in Rizal province survived an ambush but his two aides were wounded Monday afternoon.
An initial police report said Mayor Raul Palino was on his way home around 5:05 pm when they were attacked by armed men along Barangay Poblacion in Teresa.
Police said his driver, Joel Balahadya, and bodyguard, Roel Santos, were wounded while the mayor was unharmed.
The victims were brought to the hospital while the suspects fled on foot towards Antipolo.
Authorities are on a manhunt operation for possible identification and apprehension of the suspects. Ella Dionisio/DMS
