Three alleged Abu Sayyaf killed in Zamboanga City police operation

Three alleged members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) believed to be on a bombing mission were killed in a police operation In Zamboanga City Wednesday morning.
General Debold Sinas, Philippine National Police chief, said police intercepted a pump boat around 6:45am in an intelligence operation and maritime interdiction off the waters of Barangay Taluksangay which resulted in a firefight.
Sinas said the two alleged Abu Sayyaf members died while one was declared dead on arrival in the hospital.
He said the body of one of the suspects fell in the water and police are trying to recover it. The PNP chief said the suspects were believed to be on a bombing mission.
