Three cops injured in ambush by alleged Communist rebels in Oriental Mindoro

Three police personnel were injured after alleged Communist rebels ambushed a mobile patrol in Oriental Mindoro on Monday.
Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) regional police said the incident took place around 11:30am at Mabaho Road, Barangay Cabalwa in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro when armed men ambushed the vehicle of 403rd B Mobile Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion where five personnel were onboard after patrolling.
Injured were Police Corporals Vincent Dominguez and Michael Librea and Patrolman Norman Alvaro. They were immediately brought to the hospital for medical treatment while the two other cops were unharmed.
Before leaving the crime scene, the armed men also burned their vehicle.
