Three items found at Gate 2 of Camp Crame but no bomb found: police

Three items were found in front of one of the gates of the Philippine National Police at Camp Crame on Monday, but bomb experts found no explosives. Senior Superintendent Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, district director of the Quezon City Police, said in a text message one back pack, one plastic bag and a pail were found beside Gate 2 at Camp Crame along Santolan Road about 8:50 am. Eleazar said the baggage contained assorted clothing, 4 cellphones, set of security guard uniform, personal effects, cellphone charger, and personal documents. Documents were found with the name of Albert Madaje y Sobreo. Eleazar said a woman reported to the Civil Disturbance Management Contingent about the items in Camp Crame. He said explosive device units came and doused water over the items. Eleazar said the baggage did not have components for an improvised explosive device. Alanna Ambi/DMS
