Three killed in Bukidnon road accident

Three people, including two children, were died while six were injured in a road accident in Bukidnon last Saturday, police said Monday,
Dead on the spot were Marites Geolagao, 26, JB Geolagao, 3, and JC Geolagao, 3, (twin brothers) all residents of Sitio San Roque, Little Baguio.
A police report shows victims were on a passenger jeep driven by Danie Coquilla, 29, when the incident occurred along the National Road, Sitio Lower San Roque, Little Baguio, San Fernando Bukidnon around 1:45 pm.
The report said while they were in a descending and curved portion of the road (from Valencia City going to Poblacion, San Fernando) the driver allegedly lost control of his brake which caused it to hit the stockpile and turn right side down at the corner of the road.
“Mischelle Intes, 12 years old and a resident of Comawas, Halapitan was rushed to Bukidnon Provincial Hospital in San Fernando for treatment but later on referred to one of hospital at Valencia City for intensive care”, the report said.
“Five passengers who only sustained minor injuries were brought to the hospital for wound care and dressings,” it added.
After the incident, the driver of the passenger jeep surrendered to San Fernando police.
