Tourism secretary’s husband named board member of Land Bank subsidiary

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed to a government post the husband of Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo, according to an official statement on Tuesday. Roberto Teo was named as a member of the Board of Directors of Land Bank of the Philippines Leasing and Finance Corp., a fully-owned subsidiary of Land Bank of the Philippines. He was one among the 13 newly appointed officials to various government posts. Prior to his appointment, Teo was assistant administrator for operations of Davao City. Teo was appointed on June 2 and will serve the unexpired term of office of Carel Halog that began on July 1, 2016 and end on June 30, 2017. Other new officials are Alex Roldan, Director IV of the Department of Interior and Local Government; Pedrito Angeles, Board Member of the Home Development Mutual Fund; Leticia Damaso, Board Member of the Philippine Postal Savings Bank; Jaime Paz, Board Member of Social Housing Finance Corp. (SHFC); Emiliano Reyes, Board Member of SHFC; Leonardo Lopez, representing the private sector at the Board of Directors of Manila International Airport Authority; Ricardo Juliano, Board Member of Land Bank of the Philippines Resources and Development Corp.; Jennifer Yasol, Prosecutor IV of National Prosecution Service in Panabo City; Annalyn Cuisia, member of the Board of Trustees of Land Bank Countryside Development Foundation Inc. (LBCDFI); Teresita Brazil, member of the Board of Trustees of LBCDFI; Conrado Miñano, member Board of Directors of Land Bank of the Philippines Leasing and Finance Corp.; Dimapuno Datu, Board Member of Light Rail Transit Authority.
