Trillanes reveals person who was source of Duterte’s info on his bank account

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV named on Tuesday a certain Daniel "Snooky" Cruz who sold his "fake" bank account to President Rodrigo Duterte.

"Based on our informant...the source of this, the one who made and invented these accounts is Mr. Daniel"Snooky" Cruz", Trillanes said in his privilege speech in the Senate.

"This person is pretending that he is well connected to the US Embassy. They said he is a former Federal agent and he can have access in any bank account in the world. They said he is a financial forensic expert", he said.

Trillanes said Cruz sold the information in Malacanang for ten million.

"My information is he sold this around P10 million but the the actual price is three million. There are middlemen who earned, I just don't know who are those middlemen", he said.

Duterte revealed in an interview with PTV4 on September 19 the bank account of Trillanes in DBS bank in Alexandra branch, Singapore. Duterte admitted that he invented the initial bank account of Trillanes.

Trillanes said when he went to DBS Bank to check the account that was initially given by Duterte the bank manager told him that they cannot provide him the bank account because he was "never a client" in the bank.

"After that he still did not give up on the issue...He said I closed online on Sept. 8 at 10:00 pm the account. That is why it was gone when the DB Sclearly said I did not became a client and there are no Trillanes on their system in that branch or any branch", he said.

He said people tried to close a bank account online but the bank replied that it can only be done in person.

"Now,... our netizens, many inquired in DBS. And the DBS said 'The account holder has to do this personally at the home branch of the account or through the material submission of a closure authorization form, according to the bank's help desk",Trillanes said.

Trillanes said his bank account and the "fake" bank account of Senator Leila De Lima were both invented by Cruz.

"Base on our informant,...Mr Daniel Snooky Cruz sold this information. He did this before or last year for that matter. He offered and sold a fake account like thos of Senator Leila Del Lima", he said.
