Two alleged NPAs killed in Davao Oriental clash with military

Two alleged members of New People's Army (NPA) were killed in a clash with government troops in Davao Oriental on Thursday.
Reports from the 67th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army said the 30-minute firefight happened at the vicinity of Sitio San Francisco, Brgy Campawan, Baganga, Davao Oriental around 11:20 am.
The troops were conducting focused military operation when they encountered around 30 armed men believed to be members of North Front, SubRegional Committee (SRC1), Southern Mindanao Regional Committee (SMRC).
Aside from the bodies of the slain armed men, soldiers recovered three AK47 rifles, one M16 rifle, three landmines (IED); and subversive documents. Robina Asido/DMS
