Two Cafgu members killed in encounter with alleged NPAs in Abra

Two members of Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (Cafgu) were killed after the alleged members of the New People’s Army (NPA) harassed a military detachment in Abra for 30 minutes on Thursday.
Major Amado Gutierrez, spokesman of the 7th Infantry Division, said based on an initial report the Maguyepyep CAA detachment located in Brgy. Maguyepyep, Sallapadan was harassed by undetermined number of rebels around 8:30 am.
Gutierrez said the attack has resulted in the killing of two Cafgu members.
