Two Chinese nationals, one Filipino arrested in Manila buy-bust

Three drug suspects, including two Chinese nationals, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Manila on Wednesday morning.
In a report, the Manila Police District (MPD) said the arrested Chinese nationals were Wei Tang Yao alias Julian Yao, 43, residing at Casa Nicarosa Hotel, Mother Ignacia St., Malate and Wellby Chua, 39, a resident of 2421 Remedios St., Malate.
The other suspect identified as Alvin Castañeda, 32, is a resident of 1231 CF Muñoz, San Andres Malate.
Authorities confiscated six pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu; two pieces of P1,000 bill (or the buy-bust money), one blue pouch; 17 percent of genuine one thousand peso bill and two pieces of 500 peso bill or a total of P18,000 and one unit Suzuki Ertiga with plate no. ARA 7995.
"Estimated total weight of confiscated suspected to be shabu were more or less nine to 10 grams with estimated DDB value amounting to P68, 000," MPD said.
The arrested suspects are temporarily detained at MPD PoliceStation-9 custodial facility for booking and documentation.
According to MPD, the case for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act is being prepared for Inquest proceedings against the arrested suspects before the Office of the City Prosecutor. Robina Asido/DMS
