Two cops awarded with PNP Heroism medal

Two police officers on Monday were awarded with the Philippine National Police Medalya ng Kadakilaan or the Heroism Medal for their role in a rescue operation on a vessel which capsized in Iloilo-Guimaras Strait last month.
In a ceremony held in Camp Crame, Police Chief Master Sergeant Jonathan Magan from San Lorenzo Municipal Police Station of Guimaras Police Provincial Office and Police Staff Sergeant Rodito Erpelua from the Regional Headquarters Support Office of Police Regional Office 6 received their medals from Police General Oscar Albayalde.
Albayalde said this is in recognition of their “heroic acts of conspicuous courage above and beyond the call of duty for saving lives of fellow passengers onboard the M/B Chi-Chi” which one of the vessel that capsized in the Iloilo-Guimaras Strait last August 3.
