Two cops from Cebu City die from COVID-19, deaths in PNP now 7

Two cops from Cebu City were new recorded coronavirus disease (COVID-19) fatalities of the Philippine National Police (PNP), bringing total deaths to seven.
According to PNP- Health Service, the fatalities were PNP's patient number 390 (PNP-390), a 46-year-old policeman and patient number 400 (PNP-400), a 29-year- old policeman.
On June 4, PNP-390 was admitted at the hospital due to fever, cough, shortness of breath, diarrhea, dizziness, and nausea, while PNP-400 was admitted at the hospital last June 7 due to a motor vehicular accident.
Both cops were tested positive from COVID-19 and were declared dead last Sunday, June 14.
PNP chief General Archie Francisco Gamboa extended his condolences to the bereaved families of the two police personnel.
Gamboa assures families of both police officers of the PNP's financial support and social benefits.
Based on PNP data, 414 cops were confirmed positive while 240 personnel recovered.
Among these number of cases, 136 patients are in quarantine facilities, 15 are in hospitals, and 16 are undergoing home quarantine.
The PNP Health Service also documented 722 police personnel who were listed as Probable Persons Under Investigation (probable PUIs) and 873 police personnel considered as Suspected Persons Under Investigation (suspected PUIs). Ella Dionisio/DMS
