Two DPWH employees freed from captors in Sulu

The employees of Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) – Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) were released by their abductors in Sulu on Sunday night. Brig. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, Joint Task Force Sulu Commander, identified them as Alriznor Halis a driver from Luuk, Sulu and Aljimar Ajari, assistant driver from Indanan, Sulu. They are contractual employees of Sulu 1st District, DPWH-ARMM. Sobejana said they were freed “after a successful negotiation”. Sobejana said the two were forcibly taken by unidentified armed men at the vicinity of Brgy Bangkal, Patikul, Sulu last April 29. He said the victims were freed in the vicinity of the same area around 8:30 pm Sunday. (Robina Asido/ DMS)
