Two members of Manila-Mindanao drug syndicate arrested in Cavite
December 7, 2020
Two more members of the Manila-Mindanao drug syndicate were arrested in a buy bust operation in Cavite last Sunday.
General Debold Sinas, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, said the Drug Enforcement Group conducted a follow-up operation in Dasmariñas City, Cavite following the confiscation of more than P50 million worth of shabu last December 5 in Parañaque City.
Sinas said the two suspects arrested were believed to be the core operators of a Manila-Mindanao drug syndicate operating in Cavite province.
Seized from the suspects were three kilos of shabu with an estimated value of P20.4 million and one firearm.
"The operation is part of a more intensified and swift action of Case Operation Plan Blood Stone designed to disrupt the drug distribution network of the syndicate," Sinas said.
He ordered the Drug Enforcement Group to sustain operations against major drug distribution network that operates in Metro Manila, Cavite, and Mindanao.
Brig. Gen Ronald Lee, director of the Drug Enforcement Group, the operation also monitored the involvement of some Chinese drug lords conniving with local drug peddlers operating in Metro Manila and Region 4A (Calabarzon).
Lee said the drug suspects are now under police custody as cases are being readied for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. Ella Dionisio/DMS
