August 21, 2020
Two of the four inmates who jolted the detention facility of the Roxas Municipal Police Station in Zamboanga del Norte were back in prison on Thursday evening.
Brig. General Jesus Cambay Jr, the regional police director, said the two inmates were surrendered by their families.
Cambay said Wilfredo Espelita was bought to jail by his brother around 1:30 pm while Roger Feras was turned over by his sister to the police around 7:30 pm.
He commended the family of the inmates and urged the others to surrender the two escapees.
"Again, we urge their immediate family and relatives to surrender them to the nearest police station so as not to aggravate the situation for after all, they are still considered innocent unless proven guilty by a competent court,” Cambay reiterated.
Police units from Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office continue their pursuit operations against the other escapees identified as Welly C. Catoy, and Robert Quinto. Ella Dionisio/DMS
